Zero Tolerance Towards Ragging
CDOE is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and dignified academic environment for all students. Students are advised not to participate in, encourage, support or abet any act of ragging.
Ragging is strictly prohibited within the University of Delhi system and is subject to disciplinary action under the applicable University provisions. The University of Delhi has prescribed measures for the prevention and prohibition of ragging in accordance with its applicable provisions and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.
What is Ragging?
Ragging refers to any act, conduct or practice that involves physical or psychological abuse, intimidation, humiliation, harassment, bullying or any other behaviour directed towards a student and prohibited under the applicable anti-ragging rules and regulations.
Ragging may include acts that cause or are likely to cause physical or psychological harm, fear, humiliation, distress or injury to a student. Any act of abetment, encouragement or participation in ragging may also attract disciplinary action.
How to Report Ragging
Students who experience or witness an incident of ragging should report it promptly through the available reporting mechanisms.

Students can register a complaint through the official National Anti-Ragging Portal. The portal allows students to submit details of the incident and provides a mechanism for registering and tracking complaints. Where relevant, supporting evidence may also be submitted through the prescribed mechanism.

Ragging is treated as a serious act of indiscipline. Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, disciplinary and legal action shall be taken against students found involved.
Suspension
Suspension from attending classes, academic activities, and campus privileges.
Expulsion
Immediate expulsion from the institution and rustication from the University.
Cancellation of Admission
Permanent cancellation of admission and forfeiture of all academic records.
Withholding of Results
Withholding of semester and annual examination results and marks statements.
Debarring from Exams
Debarring from appearing in any University examinations or representation.
Cancellation of Degree
Revocation or cancellation of an awarded degree or diploma, along with legal penal action.
Anti-Ragging Undertaking
Students are required to complete the Anti-Ragging Undertaking through the official National Anti-Ragging Portal, as applicable.
The current online procedure provides for submission of the undertaking through the National Anti-Ragging Portal. After successful submission, a Reference Number is generated, which can be used to download the undertaking. The current procedure is online; students are not required to submit a printed undertaking to the institution.
