Overview of Financial Support Scheme

The Department of Distance and Continuing Education, , Campus of Open Learning (DDCE//COL), in the spirit of facilitating financial assistance to economically weaker students, has announced the Financial Support Scheme in accordance with the University of Delhi's guidelines.

"The scheme provides a fee waiver or refund for students enrolled in DDCE//COL whose family income falls below the poverty line. The fee waiver/refund covers all components of the fee paid by the student, except the Examination Fee and University Fee."

To avail of the Financial Support Scheme in the form of a fee waiver, the student has to meet the following eligibility criteria.

The scheme provides comprehensive refund support covering tuition and development fees, ensuring academic continuity for every deserving learner.

Note: Examination Fee and University-specific administrative charges are not included under the refund mechanism.

Scheme Eligibility Guidelines

  • Students enrolled in DDCE//COL, the University of Delhi, whose annual family income falls within the prescribed categories are eligible to apply.
  • Second-, third-, and fourth-year learners with ER/Arrears in previous examination papers are not eligible to apply.

Annual Family Income Certificate issued by the competent authority for the current financial year (issued after 31 March 2025).

Copy of the Current Fee Receipt.

Copy of Marksheet of the last exam passed. (Not Applicable for 1st Year)

Cancelled Cheque/Copy of Bank Passbook showing the student's name, Account Number, and IFSC Code (Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account).

Affidavit of Unemployment / Employment / Self-Employment (Notary Attested)

  • The fee waiver is granted on a yearly basis. Eligible applicants must submit a fresh application each academic year.
